This policy explains how information is handled when you visit ShouldIQuitMyJob.net or use the career assessment. It distinguishes information that remains in your browser from technical or contact information that we or our service providers may receive.
1. Assessment Answers and Reports
Information You Enter
The assessment asks you to select answers about your current work experience. These selections are held temporarily in the active page's JavaScript memory while you complete the assessment.
Local Report Generation
Your browser uses those answers to generate your dimension scores, overall Career Health Score, recommendation, report insights, next steps, and any high-risk response flags. This calculation happens locally in your browser. Our current application does not transmit your assessment answers, scores, flags, or report to our servers, and we do not have access to them.
No Persistent Assessment Storage
The current assessment does not write your answers or report to a database, cookies, local storage, session storage, or another persistent browser storage system. The information remains in the active page's memory while that page is in use and is cleared by the application when you restart the assessment. The application does not provide an account, cloud history, or saved report comparison feature.
Print or Save as PDF
If you select "Print / Save PDF," your browser or operating system manages that action. Any printed or saved copy is stored in the destination you choose. We do not receive a copy.
2. Technical and Usage Information
When you request a page, our hosting and delivery infrastructure may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include your IP address, request time, requested page or URL, browser or device information, referring page, and related server log data. The site's current code does not use this information to create an assessment profile about you.
The site also reads limited browser settings, such as viewport width and your reduced motion preference, to provide responsive and accessible presentation. Our current code does not persist or transmit those settings.
3. Analytics
The current launch site does not load a dedicated analytics, advertising measurement, heatmap, or behavioral tracking service. Hosting providers may still maintain operational request logs for delivery, reliability, and security under their own practices.
4. Contact and Email
The Contact page provides a direct email link to contact@shouldiquitmyjob.net. Selecting that link asks your device to open its default email application; the website does not collect or transmit your contact details itself. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the email. At that point, your email address, subject, message, and any other information you include are handled by your email provider and ours. We use correspondence to respond, address reported issues, and maintain appropriate records.
5. Cookies and Browser Storage
Our current site code does not set or read cookies. The assessment does not require an account and does not use persistent browser storage for answers, scores, or reports. Hosting or other infrastructure providers may use technically necessary mechanisms under their own policies. You can review or control cookies and site data through your browser settings.
6. Third-Party Services
We use infrastructure providers to host and deliver the site. We also load Google Fonts to provide web typography. Requests to hosted font services may include ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address, browser request information, and request time, under the provider's own privacy practices. If you send us an email, the relevant email providers process that correspondence. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Advertising and Affiliate Links
The current launch site does not display third-party advertising and does not contain affiliate links. If either practice is introduced, relevant disclosures and this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
8. How Information Is Used
Technical request information may be used by infrastructure providers to deliver pages, maintain reliability, prevent misuse, and protect the site. Information you send by email is used to respond to you, investigate issues, and keep records where reasonably necessary. Assessment answers and results are used by the browser only to generate the report shown to you.
9. Data Retention
We do not retain assessment answers, scores, flags, or reports on our servers. Copies you print or save are controlled by you. Email correspondence may be retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, address an issue, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations. Technical logs, if maintained, are retained according to the relevant hosting or infrastructure provider's operational practices.
10. Security
Our current assessment reduces data exposure by calculating results locally and avoiding server-side or persistent storage of assessment answers and reports. No method of operating a website or communicating by email can eliminate every risk. The security of a report you save, a device you use, or an email you send also depends on the settings and providers you choose. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in an email to us.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, or making a complaint to an appropriate authority. Not every right applies in every circumstance.
Because we do not receive or retain your assessment answers or report, we cannot retrieve, correct, or delete that local assessment data for you. You can restart or leave the assessment, close the page, and manage any copy you chose to save. For requests concerning email correspondence or other information we may hold, contact us using the address below.
12. Children's Privacy
The site is intended for adults considering career decisions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. The assessment responses are not submitted to us, but a child could still send an email or generate ordinary technical request data by visiting the site. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information may contact us to request review or deletion where applicable.
13. International Visitors
The site is accessible from different countries. Hosting, font delivery, and email providers may process technical information or correspondence in a country other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. The specific handling of that information is governed by the relevant provider's practices and applicable law.
14. Links to Other Websites
If the site links to an external website, service, or resource, that destination's own terms and privacy policy apply. We do not control how external sites handle information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the site or its data handling practices change. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where practical, material changes will be highlighted on the site.
16. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@shouldiquitmyjob.net or use our Contact page.
